The presentations of full-length papers, platform presentations and poster
presentations at ECSC 2004 were excellent in general. The quality of
research, the actual amounts of research that undergraduates are performing
today are far above levels of a decade ago, and the ability to present
research results was excellent at the meeting. The judging of full-length
papers, platform presentations and poster presentations over the past years
and again this year is viewed by the Board of Directors as a method to
improve the above aspects of undergraduate science. The following persons
were awarded plaques for full-length papers and certificates for poster and
platform presnetations because of the overall outstanding aspects of their
research and presentation of that research.
